Hello? Is This Thing On?

So here’s why I’m doing this.  I used to keep a blog, but I got lazy and stopped updating it about 2 years into it.  It got a little too personal to have the world accessing it, so I started only allowing access to posts via a password.  Much less incentive to update.

Recently, I started posting notes on Facebook about my more significant partying adventures (Mardi Gras in NoLa, Presidents’ Day in Ft. Lauderdale, the Black Party, etc), and people seemed to like my stories.  So this is an extension of that.  And don’t get all hooked and expect daily updates b/c I don’t party THAT much.  But it’ll be significantly more frequent than my Facebook notes were (once or twice a week).

It’s not quite anonymous, but the names have been changed to protect the slutty.  And there are a few things you should know while reading this blog.

About me: I’m a black guy from the South who now lives in NYC.  Oh, and I happen to be kinda gay.  And, at times inappropriate.

My clique: The Ivy League Crew (ILC) often refers to a core group of 3 or 4 guys and myself (though I did not [thankfully] go to an Ivy) as well as a rotating group of… I don’t know, maybe 15 or 20 other guys, most of whom did undergrad at an Ivy.  Sometimes we all show up at the same place at the same time (a mess).  Most of us are snobs about something, and we drink way too much.

The blog: “She” is most likely referring to a “he”.  “How you doin’!” is a phrase that I stole from Wendy Williams to represent anything gay.  Everything else should be pretty clear in the context unless it’s just a literary or cultural reference that you don’t get (dumbass).  But feel free to ask.  And comment.  Did I mention that we love comments?  Yeah.

Hahaha. You are ALWAYS inappropriate.

Oh, and I love the description of the ILC. Tres accurate. I am a snob about many things and I drink FAR too much.
